Now I don't normally do this, but there's a report from Stockholm of a car exploding while filling up. There's a report in a local paper here, and a discussion on the LPG Forum here. On of the LPG Forum members has posted a pic up here, and I think you'll agree it is a bit of a mess.
Note that there was no fire in this case, and it looks strongly like someone has bodged together an adapter that allowed the connection of a CNG (Compressed natural Gas) dispenser at 200bar pressure to an LPG tank rated to only 24 bar or so. You can clearly see that the toroidal tank has ruptured.
What pressure of gas (not liquid) was in there when it went is just guesswork, but it would have been substantial and made a big bang when it went.
CNG isn't widely available over here, but it should be a salutory lesson in avoidance of bodges.
